St. Clements Castle

I had a great time this past Saturday with Ashley and George. It was another great wedding with a good-looking couple, great locations, nice weather and most of all … good people.

We started off at the Marriott in Waterbury … walked across the street to Our Lady of Lourdes church … and then the bus ride to St. Clements.

Harkness Engagement Session

Here are some of my favorite images from Julie and Chris’s engagement session last night at Harkness Park. They have a June 2012 wedding planned at Waters Edge. This was the first session that I photographed at Harkness since the storm …. could not believe the damage to the beach. It was like I was photographing there for the very first time … dunes gone, rocks moved and new beaches formed.

… and they are big Bears fans.

Riverhouse Wedding

Rough week last week…. the studio was closed for 5 days because of power & internet loss from the storm …. my dad, Charles Pecoraro, passed away at the age of 82. Pappa will be missed.

But as they say …. The show most go on! I actually looked forward to photographing this wedding where I’m my happiest (besides the golf course or a Pats game)… it took my mind off of things.

Here are a few of my favorites from Jamie and Russell’s wedding which was at St. John’s church in Middletown and then The Riverhouse House in Haddam.

A special thanks to John C., good friend and fellow photographer, who was on stand by as the back up photographer just in case I couldn’t go.

Saybrook Point Inn

Despite the rain on Saturday … we all had a great time!

Kristin and Chris were the perfect couple and you couldn’t have ask for a better bridal party & families. I had to work a little harder than normal because of the rain just trying to find areas to work in. I used them all … overhangs, umbrellas, inside the church and even the garage where I probably got the shot of the day. I love the solo image of Kristin in image number 4 … we were in the garage!!

Lauren and Jeff Saybrook Point Inn

Had a great time photographing Lauren & Jeff’s wedding this past Saturday. I had the chance to work with a long time friend and excellent photographer, Jim McLaughlin. I needed a second photographer to cover the guys for a few hours and I couldn’t think of anyone better.

Since we had some time between the church and the reception we decided to go to a park in Guilford for the formals …. I’m so glad we did because by the time we arrived at Saybrook Point the wind was blowing real hard and the wedding party wanted no part of that

The Boston T

My latest trip to Boston yesterday was to photograph Elyssa & John’s engagement session for their sign in book and catch the Sox’s game. Their wedding is June 18′th here in CT. and I went to the game with my wife and daughter, Jenna who lives in Boston. The session was supposed to be in two location, the T and the Boston Common but because of the weather all we could do was the T pictures.

We are scheduled to go back next Monday for the Commons images weather permitting …. hopefully we’ll get it in because it only gives me three weeks to produce the book.

Here are a few of my favorite images from the session ….. and the Sox’s won in the bottom of the ninth, got home around 2 am

Engagement session New London

Laura mentioned she wanted something a little different for her engagement session so the first thing that came to my mind was downtown New London. I love the streets and allies of downtown … it has so much character with the old buildings and wall art It’s the first time I’ve had the opportunity to work there and I can not wait to go back.

Laura and Steven are getting married later this month at Saint Clements Castle in Portland. The engagement session images are being used for their sign in book that will be displayed at the reception.

Patrick Lynch the Open Gate

2010 was a great year for capturing images at weddings. I was blessed with good clients….again. It seems like the wedding trend for photography is going right into my strength …. candids. I’ve always had the knack for capturing moments but this year they just seemed to happen more frequently … or maybe I am just letting the day just go on its own and being more of a fly on the wall.
