Strange ending to the day

Yesterday started off as any normal day until it was time to photograph Melissa and Beau’s engagement session for their wedding next July. They wanted to be photographed where Beau proposed to Melissa which was on a path in the woods of Cromwell. The path was on private property with many posted signs but that was O.K. because I was assured they have never seen anyone … ever in the past except for today. As we approached the opening to the path there was an old truck running with a trailer off to the side and out comes a man. Jillene, Melissa’s mom, leaned over to me and whispered “this looks like something out of the Deliverance”. She was close
I wished I raised my camera to document the scene but I thought better not to not knowing his reaction. After a few minutes of him barking at us he let us go to take our pictures. We all had a uneasy feeling that we were going to see him again … and we did … he decided to drive his truck into the woods to find us. In the end all was well and he even invited us back anytime to hang out with him and have a few.
After the session I stopped by the 99 restaurant in Cromwell for a quick bite and a drink before heading back home when I walk into the bar area and there I saw a cowboy and his horse. This time I couldn’t pass up the chance so I went to the car and got my camera

Joe,
Thank you again, Beau & I really love the pictures and we had so much fun! You captured so many amazing shots, its going to be hard for me to choose.
I will be in touch
Hugs
Melissa
Hey Joe, Talk about the right place at the right time. Probably the only Cowboy in a bar with horse shot available in CT that whole week.
Sorry you Melissa and Beau had a deliverance moment. The picture came out nicely. I’m not surprised you ended up winning the guy over in the end. I’ve seen you do it before.
Great Stuff! -Jack
