Mad Dash from the Gelston House

Almost got it in!
Kate and Zack’s ceremony was scheduled for 4:00 pm at the Gelston House in Haddam and so was the storm. The JP talked quick enough to get the ceremony in as the thunder drew closer. The couples personality was absolutely perfect for my style of photography …. go with the flow! The weather did break enough around sunset so I was able to get my shots and Zack his cigar.
Harkness Park Engagement Session

This engagement session at Harkness Park from yesterday almost didn’t happen. Ashley and Jeremy are getting married next July at Saybrook Point Inn and needed the session done before Ashley moves to Texas on Saturday. The session was scheduled for 7:15 pm but around 2:00 pm the forecast was not looking good not only for that day but for the remainder of the week so we quickly moved the time to 5:00 pm and just got the session in. The light was actually perfect before the rain came … I love the bottom photo even though it doesn’t show the beach.
Saybrook Point Inn

Saturday was cloudy and cool, besides the wind it was a great lighting day for pictures … nice and soft! Before we reached Saybroook Point Inn for the reception we stopped by a local beach to do all the formal group photographs. I loved Kadys’ dress especially the back … it has great detail.
Kevin Youkils Hit’s for Kids

I had the pleasure to photograph Kevin Yukilis last night at Fenway for his charity Hit’s for Kids. Kevin is shown here presenting David Sands with a 2007 Boston Red Soxs World Series Ring, which he won as part of a raffle that was held last season to raise money for the communtiny-based children’s charities and medical research programs the charity supports. Don’t listen to the weatherman

Friday turned out to be gorgous day for photography despite the weathermans call for rain. Tryston’s mom called and cancelled the appointment on Thursaday because of bad weather, when Friday rolled around I called and rescheduled for that same day …. what’s that saying “If you live in New England and do not like the weather … just wait a minute”. After twenty seven years of dealing with Mother Nature with outdoors portraiture I always try to convince my clients not to cancel the appointment until mid day.
